Operational and financial effectiveness of e-collaboration tools in supply chain integration
2004
This paper develops a comprehensive model of supply chain integration and uses it to analyze and assess the operational and financial effectiveness of different e-collaboration tools at various levels of supply chain integration. This model is also used to evaluate the importance of the sequence in which e-collaboration tools are adopted in supply chain integration. Computational results from a validated system dynamics simulation model with different implementation sequences of e-collaboration tools and different financial scenarios show that local financial constraints can also severely impact operational and financial performance of the entire supply chain. Il dynamic business modelling per lo sviluppo e la prevenzione delle crisi delle piattaforme multi-sided
2021
Over the last few decades, the sharing economy diffusion has implemented continu- ous changes in business model opportunities with multi-sided platforms (MSPs). Due to MSPs peculiar and complex characteristics, this study suggests adopt- ing the dynamic business modeling (DBM) perspective. The DBM aims to make explicit reinforcing and balancing cause-and-effect relationships among strategic re- s…

Capitalizing on the basic principles, requirements, and methodological limitations found in the literature on sustainability‐oriented business model design, this paper aims to conceptualize a dynamic business modeling for sustainability approach, which combines an adapted sustainable business model canvas and system dynamics modeling. To this end, the paper also illustrates the key operating principles of the proposed approac…

2011
Small and medium companies in order to survive in the global market should promote the creation of partnerships and business networking. Thanks to business networks, in fact, they can reach efficiencies, improve their knowledge and increase their degree of internationalization. The industrial district is a very common type of business network model, especially in Italy. Belonging to an industrial district increases companies inclination to sign inter-firm collaboration contracts such as alliances, outsourcing and joint ventures. However, some Italian districts, mostly those recently constituted and localized in the south of Italy, such as the Sicilian Mechatronic District (SMD), lacks of ac…
